This year the garden is growing pretty well.  I did have some tomatoes ready in late June which is very rare.  Last year the spring was so cold, no tomatoes till mid July!
One night I was making dinner for my 94 year old father-in-law who is not what you would call a "happy camper" at this time in his life.  He can no longer walk and take care of himself.  He can read which he enjoys but it is rare to see him smile anymore.  I had made a Fiesta salad and had some nasturtiums blooming in the garden so I put one of the blossoms on his plate.  He looked at his plate and then over at my husband's plate and said "I got a flower!  You didn't get a flower!  I like my flower!" and smiled!  Very nice!
